BIBI Urges Nigerians To Collect PVCs Ahead Of 2027 Elections
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Edo South Senatorial District, Hon. Dr. Sunday Aguebor, popularly known as BIBI, has urged eligible Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
BIBI made the call while speaking on the importance of citizens participating actively in the electoral process, saying the PVC remains a critical instrument through which voters can exercise their constitutional right to choose their leaders.
“Everyone should go and collect their PVCs because that is the only instrument that can be used to stop the renewal of hopelessness of the Tinubu administration,” BIBI said.
The NDC candidate encouraged Nigerians, particularly young people, to take greater interest in the political process and ensure that they are properly registered and prepared to participate in the forthcoming elections.
He said elections provide citizens with an opportunity to express their preferences through the ballot and hold elected leaders accountable for their stewardship.
BIBI's call comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced October 9, 2026, for the commencement of nationwide collection of newly produced PVCs at designated Local Government Area collection centres ahead of the 2027 elections.
INEC has also advised registered voters to verify their PVC status and collection centres through its official platforms.
BIBI urged citizens to see voter participation as a civic responsibility and to make informed decisions based on the issues affecting their communities and the country.
He maintained that political differences should not discourage citizens from participating in the democratic process, stressing that the ballot remains an important avenue for Nigerians to express their choices.
The Edo South candidate further called for peaceful, credible and transparent elections in 2027, urging political actors and voters alike to respect democratic processes and the rule of law.
