ALGON Chairman Monitors PVC Collection Exercise In Izzi LGA, Calls For Peaceful Conduct

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Executive Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Helen Nnenna Aduga, has taken to the field to monitor the ongoing collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), with a view to ensuring a smooth, peaceful and hitch-free exercise across the council area.

The PVC collection exercise commenced on Friday, October 9, 2026, following an announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Hon. Aduga's monitoring effort underscores her commitment to promoting an orderly process and ensuring that eligible residents of Izzi LGA have the opportunity to participate in the exercise without unnecessary difficulties.

The monitoring exercise also comes amid the prevailing atmosphere of peace and harmonious coexistence in Ebonyi State under the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, whose government has continued to emphasise peace, unity and development across the state.

Against this backdrop, residents of Izzi LGA have been encouraged to take advantage of the PVC collection exercise and comply with the relevant guidelines to ensure its successful conduct.

The ALGON Chairman's intervention reflects the importance of grassroots leadership and collaboration with relevant authorities in promoting peaceful civic engagement and strengthening democratic participation.

May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
