Aiguobarueghian: Tested Trusted Hope For Ovia Federal Constituency

As the 2027 elections draw closer, the quest for effective representation in Ovia Federal Constituency has continued to generate discussions among stakeholders, with supporters of Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian describing him as a tested and trusted choice for the constituency.

Aiguobarueghian, a former Member and Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, is being presented by his supporters as an experienced legislator with a strong understanding of grassroots politics and the needs of his constituents.

According to his supporters, his tenure in the Edo State House of Assembly was marked by active participation in legislative proceedings, advocacy for his constituents and efforts towards attracting development to Ovia communities.

They also point to his involvement in human capital development, particularly among youths and vulnerable members of the constituency. His supporters say he has, over the years, supported educational needs, skills acquisition, employment opportunities and small-scale economic empowerment for constituents.

Beyond legislative experience, Aiguobarueghian is also described as a grassroots politician who maintains close contact with the people across the constituency.

His supporters further argue that his familiarity with communities across Ovia, including Iguobazuwa, Ofosu, Siluko, Okada and other riverine areas, gives him a practical understanding of the challenges confronting residents, particularly in the areas of roads, erosion, agriculture, education and youth development.

They describe him as accessible and people-oriented, insisting that his political style is centred on direct engagement with the people rather than elitist politics.

With the 2027 elections approaching, supporters of Aiguobarueghian believe Ovia Federal Constituency requires a representative with legislative experience and an established connection with the grassroots.

They therefore call on voters to support his aspiration to represent Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, describing his candidacy as an opportunity to build on experience and continuity in representation.

The campaign is anchored on the message: “One Good Term Deserves Promotion.”
