Nwifuru’s ICT University Project Reflects Visionary Investment In Ebonyi’s Future — Nwedu

A member of the Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for what he described as the world-class infrastructure being developed at the Ebonyi State University of ICT, Science and Technology, Oferekpe Agbaja.

Nwedu made the commendation while reacting to the ultramodern Senate Building of the institution, describing the facility as a remarkable structure that reflects the Governor’s vision for transforming education and technology in Ebonyi State.

According to him, the development of the university demonstrates that the administration is looking beyond immediate infrastructure and investing strategically in knowledge, innovation, technology and human-capital development.

He said the scale and quality of the university project showed that Governor Nwifuru was committed to creating an institution capable of providing Ebonyi youths with the skills and knowledge required to participate meaningfully in the global digital economy.

“What Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is building as a university in Ebonyi State is world-class, visionary and historic. Truly, FON is not just building structures; he is building the future,” Nwedu said.

He noted that modern educational institutions should provide more than academic facilities, stressing the importance of creating environments that encourage innovation, research, technology development and entrepreneurship.

Nwedu described the emerging ICT university as an important component of the Governor’s broader human-capital development agenda, saying its impact would extend beyond the present generation to future generations of Ebonyians.

He commended Governor Nwifuru for placing education and technology among the priorities of his administration, adding that investments of this nature could help position Ebonyi for greater participation in the knowledge-based economy.

Nwedu further described the People’s Charter of Needs as a blessing to the people of Ebonyi, saying the philosophy of putting citizens’ needs at the centre of governance was evident in the administration’s investment in education and human capacity.
