Jummah: Ado-Iliyasu Receives Special Prayers At Ansar-Ud-Deen Mosque, Abuja

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senate in the 2027 general elections, Dr. Ibrahim Ado Iliyasu Kwali, on Friday attended the Jummah prayer at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Mosque in Abuja, where he received special prayers from Islamic clerics and members of the Muslim community.

Dr. Iliyasu, who has been intensifying his grassroots engagements across the FCT ahead of the 2027 elections, was warmly received by the Chief Imam and other respected Islamic scholars at the mosque.
During the gathering, prayers were offered for Dr. Iliyasu, his family and associates, as well as for the success of his aspirations and future endeavours.

The clerics also prayed for divine guidance, protection and support as he seeks to represent the FCT at the Senate, urging him not to take the occasion and the prayers of the people for granted.

In the prayer session, the clerics asked Allah to answer his prayers and support his vision, while also praying for everyone present and their respective families.
One of the speakers prayed that Allah would continue to strengthen Dr. Iliyasu and grant him success in his aspiration to serve the people.

“Your vision to go to the Senate and to other places in your life, never take these days for granted,” the cleric said, while urging him to remain prayerful and committed to his mission.

Responding, Dr. Iliyasu expressed appreciation to the Chief Imam, the Sheikhs and members of the Ansar-Ud-Deen community for the warm reception and prayers.

He reiterated his commitment to pursuing inclusive leadership, justice, grassroots development and equitable representation for residents of the FCT if elected.

The NDC candidate has built much of his campaign around direct engagement with communities across the territory through his Community-to-Community mobilisation initiative, with particular emphasis on listening to residents and working with them to address challenges in their communities.
His campaign has also featured proposals on healthcare, women's welfare, youth empowerment, infrastructure, water supply and electricity, as well as his advocacy for greater representation for Abuja South, comprising Abaji, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali.

Dr. Iliyasu is also proposing an FCT Legislative Assembly Establishment Bill and an FCT Constituency Delineation Bill, which he says would strengthen grassroots participation and representation in the territory.

The Jummah gathering ended with further prayers for peace, guidance and success for the Muslim Ummah and the wider community.
