Jubilation As Aduga Emerges Ebonyi ALGON Chairman

There is jubilation in Ebonyi State following the emergence of Hon. Mrs. Helen Nnenna Aduga as the new Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Ebonyi State Chapter.

Aduga, who has years of experience in local government administration and has served in various capacities, was described as a woman of competence, capacity and character, making her emergence a significant development in the state's grassroots governance.

ALGON serves as the representative platform for Nigeria's 774 local governments and area councils, providing a forum for local government leaders to engage on issues bordering on grassroots governance, service delivery, socio-economic development and institutional strengthening.

Reacting to the development, K. O. Nweda described Aduga's emergence as a thing of joy, noting that her election further demonstrates the growing recognition of competence and inclusive leadership in Ebonyi State.

Nweda also commended the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for what he described as its commitment to inclusive, fair and transparent leadership across the various levels of governance in the state.

He congratulated Aduga on her emergence and expressed confidence that she would bring her wealth of experience to bear in advancing the interests of local governments and strengthening grassroots development in Ebonyi State.

“Congratulations once again, our action-oriented Chairman. To God be the glory,” Nweda stated.
