Gisaor Urges FHA Staff Unions To Prioritise Dialogue, Avoid Actions That Could Fuel Crisis

The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has urged staff unions within the Authority to work collaboratively with management and embrace dialogue in addressing issues affecting workers.

Gisaor made the call on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, when members of the Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC), FHA Branch, paid him a congratulatory visit at his office at the FHA Headquarters, Abuja.

The Executive Director advised members of the union to pursue peaceful and constructive avenues in canvassing their aspirations, rights and privileges, rather than engaging in actions capable of fuelling crises within the organisation.

He stressed that a harmonious relationship between management and staff unions was essential for the progress, stability and development of the Authority, urging the union to prioritise dialogue and constructive engagement in resolving disputes.

Gisaor also commended the achievements recorded so far under the leadership of the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the FHA, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, and expressed appreciation for the cordial working relationship between them.

He pledged his continued support to the Managing Director in advancing the objectives and mandate of the Federal Housing Authority, while assuring the union of his support whenever necessary.

The Executive Director acknowledged the important role of unionism in protecting workers' rights and interests, but stressed that such responsibilities should be exercised in a manner that promotes the growth, stability and overall development of the institution.

Earlier, the President of SSASCGOC, Mr. Solomon Tule, congratulated Gisaor on his appointment as Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, and welcomed him to the Authority.

Tule pledged the association's cooperation and support towards achieving the goals and objectives of the Federal Housing Authority.

In his remarks, the Branch Secretary of SSASCGOC, Comrade Dare Samson Ayobami, thanked God for Gisaor's appointment and prayed for divine wisdom, strength and guidance as he assumes his responsibilities at the Authority.
