Gisaor Urges Benue People To Support Alia As Myom, Yagba Launch Books

The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has called on the people of Benue State to continue supporting Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s administration to enable it consolidate its achievements and deliver more development to the people.

Dr. Gisaor made the call while presenting a book authored by Barrister Timothy Myom, titled “From Egypt to the Promised Land: A Chronicle of Governor Alia’s Milestones, Persecutions and Reconciliations for the Emancipation of Benue Masses.”
The presentation took place at the Fr. Alia Conference Hall, SEMA Complex, Makurdi, where the Executive Director commended Governor Alia for what he described as his commitment to implementing the administration’s development blueprint.

He said sustained support from the people would provide the government with the necessary environment to consolidate on its achievements while addressing areas that still require attention.
Dr. Gisaor also commended Barrister Myom for what he described as a comprehensive assessment of successive administrations in Benue State, as reflected in the publication.

He urged government ministries, departments, agencies and parastatals to carefully study the issues and grey areas highlighted in the book and make necessary adjustments where required.
According to him, there is still sufficient time for the administration to make reasonable changes that would further improve governance and service delivery across the state.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Gisaor attended the launch of another book authored by his former lecturer, Dr. Jane-Frances Terdoo Yagba, titled “Employees’ Rights and Enforcement in Nigeria.”
The book launch was held at the Faculty of Law, Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi.

Dr. Gisaor congratulated Dr. Yagba on the publication, describing the book as a valuable contribution to legal scholarship and an important resource for promoting a better understanding of employees’ rights and their enforcement in Nigeria.
He noted that publications of such nature were essential to societal development, particularly in promoting knowledge, accountability, justice and good governance.

The Executive Director encouraged students, employees and employers to read the book, saying it would help them understand their respective rights, responsibilities and boundaries within the workplace.
