Gisaor Condoles Rev. Fr. Akaatenger Over Mother’s Passing

The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Rev. Fr. Dr. Anthony-Maria Akaatenger and the entire Akaatenger family over the passing of their beloved mother, Late Lady Scholastica Shakwa Akaatenger (LSM).

Lady Scholastica, aged 84, reportedly passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

In a condolence message, Dr. Gisaor described the death of a mother as an immense loss, particularly the passing of a woman who lived a fulfilled life and left behind cherished memories, enduring values, and a legacy of love and service.

He noted that Mama Scholastica’s death was a painful moment for the Akaatenger family and all those who had the privilege of knowing and relating with her.

Dr. Gisaor expressed solidarity with Rev. Fr. Dr. Anthony-Maria Akaatenger and the entire family in their period of grief, praying that God would grant them the strength, courage and consolation needed to bear the loss.

While mourning the passing of the octogenarian, the FHA Executive Director urged the family to draw comfort from the knowledge that she lived a long and meaningful life and had answered the call of her Creator.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of Lady Scholastica Shakwa Akaatenger and asked God to grant the family the grace to preserve and build upon the worthy legacy she left behind.

Dr. Gisaor also conveyed his deepest sympathy, prayers and fraternal solidarity to the Akaatenger family during this difficult period.
