FON 4-Tech Initiative Equipping Ebonyi Youths For A Technology-Driven Future — Nwedu

A member of the Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for creating opportunities for Ebonyi youths to acquire digital skills through the FON 4-Tech Initiative.

Nwedu stated this after visiting the AI Automation Department of the initiative, where he said he witnessed what he described as an inspiring effort to prepare young people for the demands of the modern digital economy.

According to him, the initiative is providing Ebonyi youths with access to relevant knowledge, skills and digital tools capable of positioning them to compete in an increasingly technology-driven world.
He noted that FON 4-Tech goes beyond a single area of technology, explaining that the initiative has more than four departments through which participants can explore different fields of technology, digital skills, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Nwedu said the broad scope of the programme demonstrates the administration’s commitment to human-capital development and the empowerment of young people with practical skills that can translate into sustainable opportunities.

“What makes the FON 4-Tech Initiative remarkable is that it is not limited to just one area. It provides young people with opportunities to explore different areas of technology, digital skills, innovation and entrepreneurship,” he said.

He added that initiatives of this nature could help young Ebonyians discover their potential, develop careers and participate actively in the digital economy.
According to him, the message from FON 4-Tech is clear: the future of Ebonyi youths is being prepared through deliberate investment in skills, innovation and technology.

“FON 4-Tech is more than technology; it is an investment in the future of Ebonyi youths,” Nwedu stated.

He described the initiative as another reflection of the Governor’s People’s Charter of Needs, noting that empowering citizens with knowledge and skills is an important component of building a stronger and more prosperous society.

Nwedu expressed optimism that beneficiaries of the programme would use the knowledge acquired to create value, pursue entrepreneurship and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ebonyi State.

He concluded by describing the People’s Charter of Needs as a blessing to humanity and reaffirmed his support for initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for young people.
