Evboesi NDC Executives Strengthen Grassroots Mobilisation, Target Wider Community Reach Ahead Of 2027
The executive members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Evboesi Community have held a strategic executive meeting aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation, expanding the party’s reach across the ward and positioning its structures for success in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held in Evboesi Community, focused extensively on the need to take the message, programmes and vision of the NDC directly to the people at the grassroots.
The executives discussed strategies for reaching more residents across the community, while also developing plans to ensure that every community within the ward is adequately covered by the party’s mobilisation activities.
A major emphasis of the meeting was the need for active participation by all executive members. Members were reminded that occupying a party position comes with responsibilities and expectations, stressing that no executive should simply occupy an office and remain inactive at home.
The executives were therefore encouraged to use their respective positions, contacts and capacities to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the party.
The meeting also underscored the importance of unity and collective effort as the party prepares for the electoral contest ahead. Participants agreed that the task before the ward is substantial and requires commitment, discipline, cooperation and effective coordination among all members.
The executives noted that grassroots engagement remains critical to building a strong political structure, particularly as the 2027 elections approach. The NDC has also been reported to be intensifying its nationwide mobilisation and reconciliation efforts as part of its preparations for the elections.
The Evboesi executives maintained that the party's strength would depend not only on its leadership but also on the ability of its members to work together and consistently engage with the people.
They called for greater unity among party executives and members, urging everyone to put aside personal differences and focus on the collective objective of building a stronger and more effective NDC structure within the ward.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilisation, community-to-community engagement and coordinated efforts to take the party's message to more people.
The executives expressed optimism that with unity, dedication and sustained grassroots work, the NDC would be well positioned to achieve its electoral objectives in the 2027 general elections.
“Togetherness wins the race. There is huge work before us, and we need unity within ourselves to successfully carry out this activity.”
