Hon. Sunny Aguebor, popularly known as Bibi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Edo South Senatorial District, has felicitated with former Secretary to the Edo State Government, Barrister Osarodion Ogie, on the occasion of his 66th birthday.
Aguebor described Ogie as a distinguished Edo son, accomplished lawyer, administrator and statesman whose years of public service have been defined by commitment to the people, humility, loyalty and dedication to the development of Edo State.
In a goodwill message to mark Ogie's birthday, Aguebor said the former SSG's contributions to public administration and his impact on the lives of people across the state deserve commendation and celebration.
He noted that Ogie's journey through public service, including his service as Chief of Staff, Commissioner for Works and later Secretary to the Edo State Government, demonstrated his capacity for leadership and administration.
Ogie served as Secretary to the Edo State Government from 2016 until his resignation in August 2024. He had previously served as Chief of Staff to former Governor Adams Oshiomhole and as Commissioner for Works.
Aguebor particularly celebrated Ogie's humane disposition, describing him as a leader whose relationship with people goes beyond political office.
“Today, I celebrate not just a great leader, but a man who, whenever I behold, the word humanity takes its perfect shape.
“Your abiding fidelity to the finest tenets of life and steadfast commitment to the growth of our people have continued to inspire me.
“On this special occasion of your 66th birthday, I celebrate your life, your service and the many lives you have touched over the years.
“May Almighty God continue to bless you with sublime health, wisdom, peace and fulfilment, and grant you many more years to continue contributing to the growth and development of our people.
“Happy birthday, Barrister Osarodion Ogie, Esq. May your new age usher in greater blessings and renewed strength,” Aguebor said.
The Edo South senatorial candidate also acknowledged Ogie's reputation for accessibility, bridge-building and service to humanity, praying that God would continue to guide and preserve him.
Ogie is a lawyer and former Edo State Government official whose public career has spanned several decades. His years in government have included key administrative and political responsibilities at both the state and campaign levels.
