Agoni Urges Esan Youths To Back NDC In 2027 Elections

Comrade Pastor Nelson Osemekhian Agoni, Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Ward 9, Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, has urged Esan youths to support the NDC and vote for its candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Agoni, who is also identified as the Edo Central Senatorial Coordinator of the Obi and Kwankwanso Movement, made the call while interacting with Esan youths of the High Hope group in Uromi.

He urged the youths to participate actively in the electoral process, stressing the importance of using their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

According to him, the 2027 elections present an opportunity for Nigerians, particularly young people, to make their voices heard through the ballot box.

Agoni criticised the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleging that its policies had contributed to hardship, hunger, oppression and intimidation of Nigerians.

He therefore called on the youths to resist any attempt to suppress their votes during the elections and to remain vigilant throughout the voting and collation processes.

“We must all rise up to fight with our PVC and be ready to confront or resist any attempt by whoever to suppress or intimidate us. As we vote, we must protect our vote and ensure it is counted,” he said.

Agoni further urged the youths to consider the future of the country and the wellbeing of the next generation when making their electoral choices.

“If we miss it now, our children and society at large will continue to live like slaves in our own land,” he said, while declaring that the NDC represents the alternative he believes Nigerians should support.

The NDC has been building its political structure ahead of the 2027 elections, with the party recently presenting its Edo State National Assembly candidates and urging them to commence grassroots mobilisation.

Agoni reaffirmed his commitment to mobilising support for the party across Edo Central and called on youths to remain actively involved in the political process.
