Ovia 2027: Aiguobarueghian Unveils Vision For Prosperity, Unity, Renewed Hope
A renewed political consciousness is taking shape across Ovia Federal Constituency as stakeholders and residents look ahead to the 2027 general elections, with the NDC candidate for the constituency, Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian (CIA), unveiling a vision anchored on economic empowerment, youth development, healthcare and inclusive representation.
Aiguobarueghian, a legal practitioner and political leader, is seeking to represent Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
In his campaign message, titled “The Ovia Covenant 2027: Rising Together Into a Future of Limitless Hope,” the candidate said the 2027 election should represent a turning point for the people of Ovia North and Ovia South.
According to him, Ovia possesses enormous human and economic potential that can be harnessed through purposeful federal representation, effective advocacy and people-oriented policies.
He promised to champion initiatives capable of expanding economic opportunities for farmers, traders, entrepreneurs and other residents, while advocating policies that would open new markets, reduce the cost of doing business and strengthen local economic activities.
The NDC candidate also placed significant emphasis on youth empowerment, promising to pursue opportunities in modern skills acquisition, digital technology and sustainable employment.
He said the young people of Ovia should not merely be spectators in Nigeria's economic transformation but should be positioned to actively drive and benefit from national development.
Healthcare also featured prominently in his proposed agenda, with Aiguobarueghian pledging to advocate improved access to healthcare for residents, with particular attention to children and the elderly.
He further called for greater unity between Ovia North and Ovia South, stressing that collective action and a shared sense of purpose would be critical to achieving meaningful development in the constituency.
“This is not about one man. It is about all of us reclaiming our pride,” the campaign message stated, emphasizing the candidate's commitment to serving the people rather than seeking personal dominance.
Aiguobarueghian urged residents to move beyond past disappointments and embrace a future defined by hope, development and responsible representation.
He described his candidacy as a call for the people of Ovia to collectively pursue a new chapter of prosperity and recognition at the federal level.
The candidate is therefore appealing to voters across Ovia Federal Constituency to support the NDC in 2027, promising to provide representation driven by integrity, compassion, accountability and a commitment to the people's interests.
