Nwedu Applauds Nwifuru’s Primary Healthcare Transformation Agenda In Ebonyi
Hon. Member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, has commended the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for its commitment to revitalising Primary Healthcare Centres across Ebonyi State.
Nwedu described the ongoing transformation of primary healthcare facilities as a significant milestone in the Governor’s drive to improve the wellbeing of residents and provide accessible, quality healthcare services at the grassroots level.
According to him, the initiative, anchored on the administration’s People’s Charter of Needs agenda, reflects a deliberate effort to upgrade healthcare infrastructure, provide modern medical equipment, and ensure the availability of qualified health personnel across communities in the state.
“Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s investment in primary healthcare demonstrates a strong commitment to putting the needs of the people first. The revitalisation of these health centres is not only about renovating buildings but about restoring confidence in the healthcare system and ensuring that Ebonyi people have access to quality medical services closer to their homes,” Nwedu stated.
He noted that improved access to functional primary healthcare facilities would contribute significantly to reducing preventable health challenges, strengthening maternal and child healthcare, and enhancing immunisation coverage across the state.
Nwedu further emphasised that the administration’s grassroots approach to healthcare delivery is positively impacting rural communities, where many families previously faced challenges accessing basic medical services.
He added that Governor Nwifuru’s vision is creating a healthier Ebonyi State where every citizen, regardless of location, can benefit from improved healthcare opportunities.
“Our Governor is working, and Ebonyi people are progressing to greatness. The continued implementation of the People’s Charter of Needs is a clear indication that the administration remains focused on delivering meaningful development that directly impacts the lives of the people,” Nwedu said.
He expressed optimism that the sustained healthcare reforms would further strengthen Ebonyi State’s healthcare system and contribute to a better quality of life for residents.
