Gov Nwifuru’s People-Centred Leadership Continues To Inspire Confidence In Ebonyi — Nwedu
Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), has described the leadership of Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as a reflection of a new generation of governance anchored on compassion, humility, vision, and commitment to the welfare of the people.
Nwedu, in a statement made available to journalists, said Governor Nwifuru has continued to demonstrate an understanding that the essence of public office is to serve the people, address their needs, create opportunities, and build a better future for present and succeeding generations.
According to him, the People’s Charter of Needs has provided the framework for the administration's development agenda, with attention directed towards sectors that have a direct bearing on the lives of Ebonyians.
He said the administration's interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, human capital development, workers' welfare, security, and economic empowerment demonstrate what he described as a people-focused approach to governance.
Nwedu noted that investments in education and human capital development were particularly important because they equip citizens with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully to the state's economic and social development.
He also commended the administration's healthcare initiatives, saying efforts to improve medical facilities, support healthcare workers, strengthen emergency response, and expand access to healthcare demonstrate a commitment to the wellbeing of citizens.
The EBSIRS member said the governor's infrastructure drive had equally contributed to improving connectivity between communities while creating a more conducive environment for economic activities and grassroots development.
According to Nwedu, Governor Nwifuru's approach to governance demonstrates that development should not be measured only by physical projects but also by the positive changes experienced by ordinary citizens.
He described the governor as a Promise Keeper and People-Focused Leader, adding that the administration's greatest strength lies in its emphasis on translating policies and commitments into practical interventions.
"Governor Nwifuru represents a leadership that understands that governance is ultimately about touching lives, creating opportunities and putting the people first," Nwedu said.
He expressed optimism that the continued implementation of the People's Charter of Needs would further consolidate the administration's development agenda and strengthen Ebonyi's position as one of the emerging states in Nigeria.
Nwedu urged Ebonyians to remain committed to peace, unity and development, stressing that sustainable progress requires cooperation between government and citizens.
He prayed for God's continued wisdom, strength, sound health, and guidance for Governor Nwifuru as he continues to serve the people of Ebonyi State.
