Epelle-Asemota Calls For Hope, Compassionate Leadership Amid Economic Hardship
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Senatorial Candidate for Edo South Senatorial District, Comrade Mrs. Osayuki Epelle-Asemota, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and united despite the prevailing economic challenges facing the country.
In her New Month message to the people of Edo South and Nigerians at large, Epelle-Asemota acknowledged the hardships many citizens are experiencing, including rising inflation, high food prices, unemployment, insecurity, and the increasing cost of living. She noted that these challenges have placed immense pressure on families, farmers, traders, artisans, students, and senior citizens.
She called on Nigerians not to lose hope, expressing confidence that the nation can overcome its current difficulties through visionary leadership, sound economic policies, accountability, and a people-oriented approach to governance.
According to her, Nigeria's progress depends on leaders who prioritise the welfare of citizens and remain committed to transparency, compassion, and the common good.
Epelle-Asemota also stressed the need for national unity and collective commitment to building a country where citizens have access to quality education, affordable healthcare, meaningful employment, adequate security, and an economy that rewards hard work.
She envisioned a Nigeria where young people can pursue their aspirations with confidence, businesses can thrive in a conducive environment, and families no longer struggle to meet their basic needs.
Speaking on her aspiration to represent Edo South in the Senate, the NDC candidate reaffirmed her commitment to championing policies that promote economic growth, social justice, inclusive development, and accountable governance.
She expressed optimism that with the support and cooperation of the people, Nigeria can restore hope, strengthen public confidence in government, and build a future where every citizen can live in dignity and prosperity.
Epelle-Asemota concluded by wishing the people of Edo South and all Nigerians a peaceful and prosperous month of August, praying for renewed strength, divine favour, fresh opportunities, and continued progress for Edo State and the nation.
