The Governor, in a statement issued on Monday, directed the new Commissioners to bring diligence, transparency, professionalism and a strong sense of urgency to their respective portfolios, stressing that their assignments take immediate effect.

The newly deployed Commissioners and their portfolios are:

1. Hon. Mrs Elizabeth Onma — Commissioner for Special Duties and Related Matters
2. Hon. Kuma Aii Yenge — Commissioner for Works
3. Hon. Roy Ashirga — Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development
4. Hon. Angwa Egbe Monday — Commissioner for Science and Technology, with a mandate to establish the Ministry of Natural Resources
5. Hon. Amo Ankwa II — Commissioner for Commerce and Industry
6. Rt. Hon. Nick Eworo — Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Creativity
7. Hon. Chief Solomon Iorpev — Commissioner for Information and Orientation

Governor Alia urged the new appointees to approach their responsibilities with dedication and accountability, noting that their ministries are critical to the administration's development agenda and its commitment to improving the lives of Benue people.

Meanwhile, Governor Alia is scheduled to commence a statewide Thank-You Tour on Monday, August 24, across the 11 Federal Constituencies of Benue State.

The tour, which is the second since the inception of the administration, is aimed at expressing the Governor's appreciation to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), political stakeholders, traditional rulers, government appointees and other critical stakeholders for their continued support and commitment to his administration.

The Governor is expected to use the opportunity to interact with stakeholders and appreciate their contributions to the progress of the state.

Government has therefore invited stakeholders and members of the public across the state to participate in the tour and join in receiving Governor Alia as he undertakes the statewide engagement.
