Oborevwori Moves To Complete 23-Year-Abandoned DELSU Senate Building, Invites Contractors

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has taken a significant step toward completing the long-abandoned Senate/Administrative Building at Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, by inviting qualified contractors to submit bids for the project.

The development follows the revocation of the original contract, which had remained dormant for 23 years, and fulfils Governor Oborevwori's commitment made during the university's 17th Convocation Ceremony to ensure the completion of the critical administrative facility.

The invitation to tender forms part of the administration's broader infrastructure renewal agenda aimed at improving educational institutions and expanding public infrastructure across the state.

In addition to the DELSU project, the Delta State Government has also advertised several key projects for competitive bidding. These include the construction of a female hostel at Delta State Marine Polytechnic, Burutu; the extension of Olori Road in Ughelli; the rehabilitation of Egbokodo-Itsekiri Road and Swiss Cottage Road in Warri; the construction of a major drainage project in Okuokoko; as well as road construction projects in Burutu and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas.

The projects underscore Governor Oborevwori's commitment to accelerating infrastructure development, enhancing access to quality education, improving road connectivity, and addressing flood control challenges across Delta State.
