Nwedu Hails Nwifuru's Basic Education Reforms, Says Unified Learning Standards Driving Academic Excellence In Ebonyi
A member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue (EBSIRS), Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, has commended the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for what he described as one of the most transformative reforms in the state's basic education sector.
Speaking on the impact of the administration's education policies, Nwedu said the introduction of a unified standard across all public primary and secondary schools has significantly improved access to quality education and created equal learning opportunities for children across Ebonyi State.
According to him, the policy, which provides unified textbooks and the free distribution of instructional materials, including textbooks and exercise notebooks, has eased the financial burden on parents while equipping teachers and students with the resources needed for effective teaching and learning.
"One of the most impactful reforms in basic education has been the introduction of a unified standard across all public schools under the visionary and caring leadership of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru," Nwedu stated.
He noted that teachers can now deliver lessons with greater confidence because every student has access to the same approved learning materials, thereby eliminating disparities in classroom instruction across the state.
Nwedu further observed that the reform is already producing measurable results, pointing to Ebonyi State's impressive performance in national examinations, particularly the National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations.
According to him, outstanding academic performance is built on quality teaching, while quality teaching depends on the availability of the right instructional materials in every classroom.
He stressed that by ensuring every child has equal access to educational resources, the Nwifuru administration is laying a solid foundation for academic excellence and human capital development.
"This is the vision driving basic education in Ebonyi State. When every child is given the same opportunity to learn, excellence becomes achievable for all," he added.
Nwedu expressed appreciation to Governor Nwifuru for prioritizing education, describing the reforms as a strategic investment in the future of Ebonyi State and its younger generation.
