Nwedu Commends Governor Nwifuru For Strengthening Healthcare With SUV Distribution To Doctors Across Ebonyi
Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue (EBSIRS), has commended the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCAI, GGCEHF, for providing Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to medical doctors serving in general hospitals across the state's 13 local government areas.
In a statement made available to journalists, Nwedu described the initiative as a landmark intervention aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and improving access to quality medical services for residents across Ebonyi State.
According to him, the provision of the vehicles will significantly enhance the mobility of doctors, enable faster emergency response, improve access to patients in rural and underserved communities, and boost the efficiency of healthcare delivery throughout the state.
He noted that the initiative also reflects Governor Nwifuru's commitment to the welfare of healthcare professionals by providing them with the necessary tools and support to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
Nwedu stated that the intervention demonstrates the administration's determination to build a responsive and resilient healthcare system capable of meeting the medical needs of Ebonyians, irrespective of their location.
He added that by investing in both healthcare personnel and critical support infrastructure, the governor is laying a solid foundation for improved public health outcomes and strengthening confidence in the state's healthcare system.
According to Nwedu, the initiative complements other reforms introduced under the People's Charter of Needs agenda, including the recruitment of additional healthcare workers, the upgrading of health facilities, and sustained investments in the health sector.
He described Governor Nwifuru as a compassionate and visionary leader whose policies continue to improve the quality of life of the people, adding that the administration's healthcare interventions have demonstrated a clear commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in the delivery of essential medical services.
Nwedu further observed that the distribution of SUVs to doctors is a strategic investment that will enhance emergency medical response, improve service delivery, and contribute to better healthcare outcomes across Ebonyi State.
