Nwedu Applauds Governor Nwifuru’s Commitment To Doctors’ Welfare, Says Better Healthcare Begins With Valued Professionals
Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue (EBSIRS), has commended the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for prioritising the welfare of medical doctors and strengthening the healthcare system across the state.
In a statement made available to journalists, Nwedu described Governor Nwifuru as a compassionate, visionary, and people-centred leader whose commitment to improving the lives of Ebonyians is reflected in his administration’s policies and programmes across various sectors.
According to him, the governor’s focus on the welfare of doctors in General Hospitals across Ebonyi demonstrates a clear understanding that the effectiveness of any healthcare system depends largely on the motivation, wellbeing, and professionalism of medical personnel.
Nwedu stated that through the People’s Charter of Needs agenda, the Nwifuru administration has continued to prioritise healthcare reforms by improving working conditions, supporting healthcare workers, and creating an environment where medical professionals can deliver quality services with renewed dedication.
He noted that valuing doctors and other healthcare professionals translates into better patient care, improved hospital efficiency, and stronger health outcomes for communities across the state.
The EBSIRS board member said Governor Nwifuru’s approach to governance reflects empathy, responsiveness, and a commitment to addressing the genuine needs of the people, adding that his support for healthcare workers acknowledges the sacrifices they make in protecting and saving lives.
According to Nwedu, the governor’s interventions in the health sector go beyond policy decisions, describing them as a demonstration of his commitment to building a resilient healthcare system that rewards excellence, attracts skilled professionals, and provides quality medical services to all Ebonyians.
He further observed that sustained investment in human capital development remains critical to the future of healthcare delivery, noting that a motivated workforce is essential to achieving lasting progress in the sector.
Nwedu expressed confidence that Governor Nwifuru’s leadership and reforms in healthcare would continue to strengthen the state’s medical institutions and contribute to building a healthier and more prosperous Ebonyi State.
He described the People’s Charter of Needs agenda as a practical demonstration of people-oriented leadership and prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health for Governor Nwifuru as he continues to serve the people of Ebonyi State.
