Nwedu Applauds Governor Nwifuru's Peace-Building Efforts, Says Unity Is Driving Ebonyi's Development
Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue (EBSIRS), has commended the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his commitment to promoting peace, unity, and responsible governance, which he said has created an enabling environment for sustainable development across the state.
In a statement made available to journalists, Nwedu described peace as the bedrock of every prosperous society, noting that the Nwifuru administration has consistently prioritised dialogue, reconciliation, and inclusive governance in line with its People's Charter of Needs agenda.
According to him, the governor's leadership has fostered an atmosphere of stability that supports economic growth, agricultural productivity, business expansion, and improved social cohesion throughout Ebonyi State.
Nwedu stated that the administration's emphasis on peaceful conflict resolution and constructive engagement has contributed to restoring confidence among residents and strengthening the state's development efforts.
He noted that communities previously affected by conflict have witnessed renewed efforts toward reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, creating opportunities for farmers to return to their fields, businesses to expand their operations, and investors to explore economic opportunities within the state.
The EBSIRS board member further observed that Governor Nwifuru's commitment to protecting lives and property has reinforced public confidence and enhanced the state's reputation as an attractive destination for investment and development.
According to Nwedu, the governor's leadership demonstrates that lasting progress is achieved through unity, stability, and purposeful governance, adding that peace remains the foundation upon which sustainable socio-economic development is built.
