NDC Chieftain Urges Nigerians To Obtain PVCs, Demand Accountable Leadership Ahead of 2027

A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Comrade Gboluseri Timipre Samuel, has called on Nigerians to become more intentional in demanding accountable and people-oriented leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement titled "It Is Time for the Sleeping Giant in You to Wake Up, Ye Nigerians," Samuel urged citizens to reject political apathy and actively participate in shaping the country's future through the electoral process.

He lamented what he described as the nation's worsening socio-political challenges, stressing that meaningful change would only come when Nigerians take ownership of the democratic process by demanding accountability from elected leaders.

According to him, "What is not working can never fix itself. Until we decide to fix ourselves by demanding accountability, owning the leadership process, and embracing true patriotism, our challenges will continue to worsen."

Samuel warned against what many Nigerians perceive as a gradual drift toward a one-party state, urging citizens to remain vigilant and actively defend democratic values.

He further emphasized that Nigerians have both the right and the responsibility to build a better nation for future generations, noting that remaining indifferent to the country's challenges amounts to failing the children who will inherit it.

"There is no individual or group destined to save Nigeria for us. The future of our country depends on the collective actions of its citizens," he said.

The NDC stalwart encouraged all eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and exercise their constitutional right to vote during the 2027 elections.

He also called on Nigerians to support the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), while expressing support for Henry Seriake Dickson and the proposed Obi-Kwankwaso political alliance, which he said represents a credible alternative for national leadership.

Samuel, who described himself as the "Apostle of the NDC," "Crusader of the Ofurumapepeism Ideology," "The Young White Shark," and Director-General of "NDC Or Nothing," maintained that active civic participation remains the most effective path toward building a prosperous, democratic, and united Nigeria.
