JUAofAfrica Urges Nigerians To Reclaim The Vision Of The Nation's Founding Heroes

Delta State House of Assembly hopeful for Aniocha South Constituency, Hon. Jeffrey Ugochukwu Adigwe (JUAofAfrica), has called on Nigerians to embrace patriotism, integrity, and selfless leadership, saying the vision of the nation's founding fathers can still be achieved despite the country's present challenges.

In a statement, Adigwe lamented that the sacrifices made by Nigeria's independence heroes were never intended to produce a nation plagued by corruption, poor governance, and self-serving leadership.

According to him, "Our ancestors did not fight, bleed, and die for independence so that thieves, political bandits, and looters would hijack government to enrich themselves while the people suffer. The Nigeria our heroes died for is still possible, but only when we replace looters with builders and selfish leaders with true patriots."

The lawmaker hopeful noted that Nigeria's greatness lies not only in its size or population but in the ideals of justice, unity, accountability, and service upon which the nation was founded.

He stressed that the country's founding fathers envisioned a nation where leadership would be a sacred responsibility, public office would be dedicated to service, and every citizen would have equal opportunities to thrive.

Adigwe acknowledged the frustrations of many Nigerians over corruption, insecurity, unemployment, and economic hardship but maintained that the nation's future remains bright if citizens elect leaders with character, competence, and genuine commitment to national development.

He urged Nigerians, particularly the younger generation, not to lose hope but to actively participate in building a better society through responsible citizenship and the election of credible leaders.

"The future of Nigeria depends on our collective resolve to reject corruption, demand accountability, and support leaders who place the people above personal interests. Together, we can build the Nigeria our heroes envisioned," he said.

Adigwe reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of integrity, transparency, and people-centred leadership, expressing confidence that with patriotic leadership and active citizen participation, Nigeria can reclaim its promise as the true Giant of Africa.
