Rivers Political Turbulence Strengthens Support Base __ Lulu-Briggs
Prominent Rivers politician and founder of the DLB Legacy Movement, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, has said recent political and legal developments in the state have only strengthened the resolve of his supporters, describing the situation as a defining moment for the movement's growth.
In a statement released at the start of the week, Lulu-Briggs acknowledged that recent events had generated anxiety and intense public attention but insisted that they had also inspired thousands of people to identify with the movement.
"There will always be moments designed to make you flinch. That is the nature of building something that matters. The noise gets louder precisely when you are getting closer to something real," he said.
According to him, while many reacted to the unfolding events with panic, a significant number of Rivers residents chose to rally behind the movement, resulting in thousands of new supporters joining its cause over the weekend.
Lulu-Briggs described distractions as tests of commitment rather than obstacles, urging members and supporters to remain focused on the movement's long-term vision for Rivers State.
"We are building something in Rivers State that is not about noise, reaction, or the next headline. It is about the future this land deserves and the people in it," he stated.
Commenting on the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding recent political developments, he urged supporters to allow the judicial process to take its course while remaining committed to their collective mission.
"The mission does not pause because a courtroom somewhere had a busy Friday. It does not bend because the temperature in the room goes up. It sharpens," he said.
Lulu-Briggs concluded by encouraging members of the DLB Legacy Movement to stay focused, remain committed, and continue working toward their shared vision for Rivers State, expressing confidence that the movement would emerge stronger despite the challenges.
He ended his message with a note of encouragement, urging supporters to "stay focused, stay committed," while reaffirming the movement's determination to move forward.
