OKC Combination Emerges As Preferred Political Team For 2027, Supporters Declare
As political activities gradaually gather momentum ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections, supporters of the proposed Obi–Kwankwaso–Charity (OKC) political alliance have expressed confidence that the combination represents a formidable team capable of delivering effective leadership and governance at both national and constituency levels.
Speaking on behalf of supporters in Ovia Federal Constituency, political advocate Osazemwinde A. Stanley described Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian (CIA), the Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and member representing Ovia North-East I Constituency, as a grassroots-oriented legislator whose performance has earned him widespread recognition among his constituents.
According to Stanley, Aiguobarueghian's legislative achievements and community development initiatives have earned him the nickname "The Project Legislator" among residents of his constituency. He noted that many constituents believe his election to the House of Representatives in 2027 would provide Ovia Federal Constituency with what they describe as energetic, effective, and purposeful representation at the national level.
Supporters of the proposed OKC alliance argue that the political credentials of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian make the combination an attractive option for voters seeking leadership focused on development and public service.e
They highlighted what they described as the trio's strengths in a, leadership capacity, political experience, youth engagement, and public service delivery. According to them, the records of Obi and Kwankwaso during their respective tenures as governors continue to attract public attention years after leaving office.
The supporters further maintained that Aiguobarueghian has demonstrated commitment and dedication in his current legislative role, citing his active participation in legislative debates, constituency projects, and advocacy on issues affecting the people of Ovia North-East I Constituency.
They expressed optimism that, if elected to the House of Representatives in 2027, he would leverage his experience to attract more federal projects and developmental opportunities across the 23 wards that make up Ovia Federal Constituency.
The group also called on residents of Ovia Federal Constituency to remain politically engaged and participate actively in the democratic process ahead of the next general elections.
According to Stanley, I believe that the proposed alliance has the potential to contribute positively to Nigeria's political and economic development if given the opportunity by voters.
The statement concluded with an appeal to eligible voters to support candidates they believe possess the capacity, competence, and commitment required to advance the interests of their communities and the nation at large.
