"Nwifuru Has Made Ebonyi People Proud" — Nwedu As Izzi Clan Shuts Down Markets

Commercial activities across Izzi Clan were brought to a standstill on Saturday as residents observed a market shutdown in solidarity with the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, popularly known as the "Destiny Lifter Governor."

The exercise, which witnessed a complete halt in buying and selling activities, was organized as a demonstration of support for Governor Nwifuru's administration and his second-term aspiration.

Speaking during the exercise, Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), said the people of Izzi Clan were united in their support for the governor because of his developmental strides and commitment to the welfare of Ebonyi people.

"Governor Nwifuru has made Ebonyi people proud through his purposeful leadership and people-oriented policies. We believe he deserves a second term to continue the good work he has started across the state," Nwedu stated.

He noted that the market shutdown was a symbolic demonstration of appreciation and confidence in the governor's leadership, urging residents of Izzi land to remain steadfast in their support for the administration.

Participants at the event echoed the slogan "4+4 = 8" while reaffirming their commitment to Governor Nwifuru's re-election bid under the People's Charter of Needs agenda.

The supporters also expressed optimism that the governor would continue to deliver impactful projects and programmes that would further accelerate the development of Ebonyi State.

The market shutdown adds to the growing list of endorsements Governor Nwifuru has received from communities, stakeholders, and support groups across the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
