NDC Flag Bearer Calls For Unity, Reconciliation After Party Primaries
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer for the Otukpo/Akpa State Constituency in the 2027 elections, Hon. Ondaje Emmanuel Stephen, has called on party members to unite and focus on the collective mission of rescuing Nigeria following the conclusion of the party's primaries.
In a message titled "A Message of Hope and Unity to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)," Ondaje congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious in the primaries, describing their success as a mandate entrusted to them by Nigerians seeking a better future.
According to him, the victories recorded during the primaries belong not only to the candidates but also to millions of Nigerians who are yearning for competent leadership, improved governance, and a government that prioritizes the welfare of its citizens.
He also commended aspirants who were unsuccessful in their bids, praising their courage and contributions to the growth of the party. He emphasized that the NDC remains a family with room for every member to contribute to the struggle for national transformation.
"The primaries are over. The winners have emerged. And now, the real work begins," he stated.
Ondaje urged party members to move beyond internal contests and focus on the larger objective of presenting a credible alternative to the ruling administration. He noted that Nigerians are looking to the NDC for leadership founded on competence, service, accountability, and national unity.
He stressed that the party's chances of success depend on its ability to remain united, warning that division could undermine its mission of providing the country with effective leadership.
The NDC flag bearer called on members to celebrate those who won without arrogance while embracing those who did not emerge victorious without bitterness. He encouraged party leaders and supporters to close ranks, strengthen party structures, and take the NDC's message of hope to communities across the country.
Expressing confidence in the party's prospects, Ondaje maintained that the NDC's victory would ultimately translate into victory for Nigerians, as the party remains committed to rebuilding the nation and restoring public confidence in governance.
He concluded by reaffirming the party's commitment to service, hope, and national renewal, declaring that the time has come for Nigerians to unite behind a vision for a better future.
"Together, we will rescue Nigeria. Together, we will rebuild it," he stated. This version follows a standard newspaper style, maintaining neutrality while preserving the essence of Hon. Ondaje Emmanuel Stephen's message.
