NDC Combine Ticket Gains Momentum As Ondaje, Prince Abba Begin 2027 Campaign Outreach
The political landscape in Benue State is witnessing a fresh wave of activity following the emergence of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) combine ticket for the 2027 general elections in Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency and Otukpo/Akpa State Constituency.
The ticket, which features Hon. Ondaje Emmanuel Stephen and Hon. Prince Adakole Abba, officially commenced its grassroots engagement campaign last weekend with visits to council wards across Otukpo and Ohimini Local Government Areas.
The outreach, aimed at seeking the blessings and support of constituents ahead of the elections, reportedly attracted enthusiastic receptions from residents, traditional stakeholders, and community leaders who offered prayers and words of encouragement to the aspirants.
Hon. Ondaje Emmanuel Stephen, an indigene of Edikwu District in Ewulo Ward, Otukpo LGA, is seeking to represent Otukpo/Akpa State Constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly. Widely regarded by his supporters as a grassroots politician, Ondaje has pledged to champion the interests of ordinary citizens and provide effective representation at the state legislature.
Meanwhile, Hon. Prince Adakole Abba, a native of Idabi District in Oglewu Ward, Ohimini LGA, is contesting for the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives. Known as an estate developer and philanthropist, Prince Abba has outlined youth and women empowerment, security, education, and healthcare as key priorities of his proposed legislative agenda.
Supporters of the NDC candidate point to his ongoing renovation of the Government Public Primary School in Idabi District, Oglewu Ward, as evidence of his commitment to community development and public service.
According to campaign supporters, the emergence of the Ondaje-Abba ticket represents a renewed push for inclusive governance, development, and people-oriented leadership across the constituency.
As political activities gradually gather pace ahead of the 2027 elections, the NDC combine ticket says it remains committed to engaging communities across every ward in Otukpo and Ohimini, promoting what it describes as a vision of a "New Otukpo/Ohimini" built on progress, fairness, and sustainable development.
The campaign team expressed confidence that the growing support from grassroots communities will strengthen the party's chances as preparations for the 2027 polls continue.
