Ikuli Hails Gov. Diri's Infrastructural Revolution After Tour Of Major Bayelsa Projects

The Technical Adviser to the Governor of Bayelsa State on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, has commended Governor Douye Diri for what he described as remarkable infrastructural development across the state following an extensive project tour with the crew of Silver Rhythm 94.7 FM Yenagoa.

Speaking after the tour on Thursday, Ikuli expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of ongoing and completed projects, noting that the developments are clear indicators of the administration's commitment to transforming Bayelsa State.

The tour covered several strategic projects, including the New Yenagoa City development and the dual carriage road linking the area to the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) corridor. The team also inspected Phase Three of the Glory Drive project, which connects to the Imgbi Bridge.

Other projects visited included the newly completed 60-Megawatt Gas Turbine, a major power infrastructure expected to enhance electricity generation and support economic growth in the state.

The delegation further toured the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge project, travelling through Otuan and Oporoma communities, the headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, to assess the impact of the road and bridge infrastructure on riverine communities.

The project inspection also extended to the Akaba-Ogu-Okodi Road, with the team driving up to Otuegwe 1, where construction work is ongoing on the final culvert leading towards Ayakoro Community.
Ikuli specially acknowledged the contributions of the Silver Rhythm 94.7 FM crew and media personalities who participated in the tour, including MC Laff Strup, MC Koboko and MC Dakolo, popularly known as "The Talking VC."

According to him, the scale of development witnessed across the state underscores Governor Diri's commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life of Bayelsans.

"We lack words to adequately appreciate Governor Douye Diri for the good works Almighty God is using him to accomplish in Bayelsa State. The projects speak for themselves and are positively impacting communities across the state," Ikuli stated.

He reaffirmed that the Prosperity Administration remains focused on delivering sustainable development and ensuring that critical infrastructure projects are completed for the benefit of present and future generations.
