FON All The Way Movement Condemns NYO Faction, Defends Governor Nwifuru Over Alleged Misinterpretation Of Statement

FON All The Way Movement has issued a strong response to a faction of the National Youth Organization (NYO), describing them as “paid noisemakers” over what it termed a misinterpretation of recent remarks attributed to the Ebonyi State Governor.

The statement, released in Abakaliki on June 23, 2026 and signed by Comrade Igiri Innocent, was in reaction to a press briefing allegedly held by the NYO faction at Barcelona Hotel, Abuja on June 22, 2026.

The group defended the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, insisting that he has never issued any form of threat against individuals or groups, nor disrupted opposition activities in the state since assuming office.

According to the movement, the governor’s public statements have been “misrepresented” and taken out of context by political actors seeking to discredit his administration. It further maintained that opposition parties in Ebonyi State continue to operate freely without interference.

The group also referenced comments allegedly made by the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of previously making statements that “threatened chaos in different states,” while questioning the silence of the NYO faction on those remarks.

The statement warned against what it described as attempts to use youth groups to create instability in Ebonyi State, adding that such actions would be resisted through legal means. It also urged critics to visit the state and assess developments firsthand, describing Ebonyi as “peaceful and progressive under the current leadership.”

The statement concluded with a caution to individuals and groups it accused of attempting to destabilize the state, reiterating that youths in Ebonyi would not tolerate actions capable of undermining peace and order.
