Bayelsa Remains Safest State in Nigeria --Ikuli
Despite rising insecurity across Nigeria, Bayelsa State continues to shine as the safest state in the country, thanks to the proactive leadership of Governor Douye Diri and robust collaboration with security agencies.
Hon. Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, Technical Adviser to the Executive Governor on Media and Public Affairs, attributed the state’s enviable safety record to strong synergy between the government and security outfits.
“Security is everybody’s business,” Hon. Ikuli stressed, urging Bayelsans to remain vigilant and report anything unusual. “Government and security agencies cannot succeed in policing our large and great population without the cooperation of all residents,” he added.
He encouraged citizens to pay attention to the movements of people in their communities and to promptly report anything suspicious or potentially harmful.
Bayelsa’s consistent safety record highlights the critical role of community engagement in sustaining peace and security, even as other states grapple with rising crime rates.
