2027: Charity Aiguobarueghian Unveils People-Centred Legislative Agenda For Ovia Constituency
As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum, the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) candidate for the House of Representatives, Ovia Federal Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian, has unveiled a comprehensive legislative agenda focused on addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of Ovia South West and Ovia North East Local Government Areas.
The House of Representatives hopeful said his mission in the Green Chamber would be driven by effective lawmaking, robust oversight, and the pursuit of policies that deliver tangible benefits to constituents.
According to Aiguobarueghian, representation must go beyond political rhetoric and focus on practical solutions to the challenges facing ordinary citizens.
He stated that his legislative blueprint is designed to tackle key issues affecting residents, including job creation, improved welfare, quality education, accessible healthcare, infrastructure development, agricultural support, and enhanced security.
The NDC candidate emphasized that every bill he sponsors and every motion he supports would be guided by a commitment to solving real problems and creating opportunities for the people of Ovia.
Aiguobarueghian also pledged to be a strong advocate for the constituency at the National Assembly, promising to champion legislation that promotes accountability, fairness in the execution of federal projects, and equitable distribution of government resources.
He noted that oversight of government agencies and projects would remain a priority, stressing that funds allocated for development in Ovia must be properly utilized for the benefit of the people.
The candidate further assured constituents that he would actively monitor budget implementation and inspect projects to ensure timely delivery of critical infrastructure, including rural roads, primary healthcare centres, schools, and youth empowerment programmes.
Describing his vision as “lawmaking tied to results,” Aiguobarueghian said he is committed to providing responsive representation that listens to the people, reports back regularly, and fights for the development the constituency deserves.
