Ikuli Marks Golden Jubilee, Reflects On Life Journey, Gratitude
Hon. Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli has celebrated his 50th birthday, expressing deep gratitude to God, family, and associates for their roles in shaping his life and career.
In a statement commemorating his golden jubilee on May 5, Ikuli recounted his birth to Madam Margaret Ade Aniekwe and Sir Branzuk Clement Ikuli, noting that the circumstances surrounding his birth inspired his father to name him “Oniekpar,” an Ogbia term meaning “man of power,” while his mother named him “Wisdom.”
Reflecting on his life at 50, Ikuli described his journey from humble beginnings as a testament to divine grace and perseverance. He likened life to a marketplace filled with challenges and opportunities, stating that reaching the milestone had not been easy but was made possible through God’s guidance and protection.
“At 50, I have experienced both good and difficult times, and I give God all the glory,” he said, adding that his life stands as proof of faith and resilience.
Ikuli emphasized the importance of personal growth, education, family, and societal impact, noting that success should not only be measured by material achievements but also by positive contributions to society.
He expressed appreciation to several individuals who have influenced his life, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, and other leaders, mentors, and associates across different stages of his journey.
The celebrant also acknowledged the role of religious and youth organisations, particularly the Block Rosary Crusade of Sacred Heart Parish, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt, and the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), describing them as instrumental in his early development.
As he steps into a new phase of life, Ikuli expressed hope for continued growth, greater impact, and divine elevation in the years ahead.
