Fubara Denies Defection Rumours, Reaffirms Loyalty To APC

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has dismissed widespread rumours suggesting that he has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that he remains a bona fide member of the party.

The governor made the clarification while inspecting the newly completed Psychiatric Hospital in Rumuigbo, a project executed under his administration.

Fubara stated that he has not taken any action contrary to his political affiliation and urged members of the public to disregard reports circulating across social media platforms alleging his defection.

He warned against the spread of misinformation capable of creating unnecessary political tension in the state, stressing that certain political opponents and rumour mongers were behind the unfounded speculations.

According to the governor, his primary focus remains delivering quality governance and advancing development projects across Rivers State rather than engaging in political distractions.

Fubara further urged residents and supporters to remain calm and avoid being misled by false narratives aimed at causing confusion within the political space.
