Dagogo Achese Cries Out Over Mounting Pressure After Humanitarian Intervention

Humanitarian advocate and public commentator, Dagogo Achese, has opened up on the emotional, mental, and financial burden he has faced following his recent intervention in assisting a pregnant woman during a critical health emergency.

In a heartfelt message shared publicly, Achese revealed that ever since the incident, his phone has been flooded with endless calls, messages, and requests from people seeking financial and medical assistance for various health challenges.

According to him, while he understands the pain and hardship many Nigerians are currently facing, the overwhelming expectations from the public have become difficult to bear.

Achese lamented that some people now insult or criticize him whenever he is unable to respond to requests or provide financial support, with many assuming he possesses unlimited resources.

He stated that despite public perception, he is also battling personal struggles silently.

“The painful part is that while many think I am strong or comfortable, my own life has not been easy. Even the phone I use now is faulty, and I’ve been managing with a smaller device that does not even suit the level of work and stress I handle daily,” he said.

The humanitarian advocate explained that he chose to sacrifice his comfort to save the life of the pregnant woman and her baby because humanity demanded urgent action at the time.

However, he admitted that the emotional and mental pressure that followed has left him exhausted.

“I am only human,” Achese stated emotionally, while appealing to the public to reduce the pressure, expectations, and judgment directed at him.

He further stressed that inability to assist everyone does not mean he lacks compassion, but rather reflects the reality that he too is struggling with challenges unknown to many.

“Sometimes the people trying to help others are also quietly breaking inside,” he added.

Achese concluded by calling on well-meaning individuals to remember him in prayers and extend support where possible, noting that those who help others also need encouragement and care.
