Bayelsa Residents Assess Power Supply As Government Promises Improved Electricity
Residents of the Bayelsa State capital city have continued to share mixed reactions over the current power situation across different parts of the state, following assurances from the government that improved electricity supply will soon reach more communities.
Speaking on the development, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, stated that areas still experiencing poor electricity supply would soon benefit from ongoing improvements in the power sector.
According to him, “If the areas you’re staying in Bayelsa do not have improved power supply, it will get to you soon.”
The statement comes amid growing public conversations over electricity distribution and the level of improvement recorded in parts of Yenagoa and surrounding communities.
While some residents have reportedly witnessed more stable electricity in recent weeks, others say they are still battling irregular supply and prolonged outages in their areas.
The government’s assurance has now sparked fresh discussions among residents, many of whom are calling for equal distribution of improved power supply across the state capital and other affected communities.
