APC To Separately Screen Fubara, Kefas, AbdulRazaq Over Official Engagements

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that three incumbent governors seeking re-election on the party’s platform were excused from Saturday’s screening exercise due to official engagements in their respective states.

The affected governors are Siminalayi Fubara, Agbu Kefas and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Chairman of the APC and head of the Screening Committee for Sitting Governors Seeking Re-election, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, disclosed this while briefing journalists after the screening exercise held at the Plateau State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, on Saturday.

According to Yilwatda, the governors were unable to participate in the scheduled screening because of pressing state responsibilities.

He explained that the affected governors would subsequently be screened by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) at a later date.

The APC has continued its screening process ahead of the party’s governorship primaries for the 2026 elections.
