Alia Distributes Electoral Materials For APC Presidential Primaries In Benue

Governor of Hyacinth Alia has supervised the distribution of electoral materials for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary elections across the 23 local government areas of Benue State.

The exercise, which took place on Saturday at the APC State Secretariat in Makurdi, commenced as early as 6:00 a.m., with materials distributed to designated local government returning officers ahead of the polls.
Governor Alia, who serves as the Benue Central Returning Officer for the exercise, had earlier received the electoral materials on Friday evening at Government House. He later briefed stakeholders at the party secretariat and publicly displayed the election parcels before distribution.

Speaking during the exercise, the governor called for a peaceful and transparent process, stressing that the APC remains bigger than any individual interest. He urged party members to sustain unity and cooperation ahead of the elections.
Alia also charged local government area returning officers to ensure eligible party members were given the opportunity to vote and freely choose the party’s flag bearer.

According to him, the APC has performed creditably in delivering democratic dividends to Nigerians and is prepared to retain power at all levels in the forthcoming elections.
The distribution event was attended by members of the State Working Committee led by Chief Benjamin Omale, local government party chairmen, local government executive chairmen, and other party stakeholders.
