FON 4+4=8: Nwifuru Reaffirms Commitment For Continuity As Onwe Declares For Ebonyi North East Seat
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustained development, stability, and inclusive governance in Ebonyi State, declaring that the state remains firmly on the path of progress under tested leadership.
In a statement reflecting on the administration’s achievements so far, the governor emphasized that visible progress across key sectors has strengthened confidence in the continuity agenda, captured in the slogan “FON 4+4 = 8.” According to him, the focus remains on consolidating gains already made while advancing new initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
“As Ebonyi continues to move forward, the path is clear. Tested leadership has brought stability, growth, and tangible development across our state. The journey continues with a renewed commitment to serve and deliver,” the governor stated.
Nwifuru also stressed the importance of strengthening representation at all levels of governance, noting that effective leadership at the grassroots is critical to sustaining the state’s development trajectory.
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sampson Chukwuemeka Onwe, has declared his intention to contest for the Ebonyi State House of Assembly seat representing Ebonyi North East Constituency.
Onwe said his decision to step into the race is driven by a commitment to provide quality representation, align with the governor’s development vision, and ensure that the interests of his constituents are effectively articulated.
“Ebonyi North East deserves a voice that understands the people and works in alignment with the broader vision of a greater Ebonyi. I am stepping forward with that commitment to serve and to contribute meaningfully to our collective progress,” he said.
Political observers note that the call for continuity, unity, and coordinated leadership remains central to the APC’s strategy in the state as it seeks to consolidate its influence and sustain ongoing development efforts.
Stakeholders have also emphasized that collaboration between the executive and legislative arms will be crucial in deepening governance outcomes and accelerating growth across communities.
With the 2027 political cycle gradually taking shape, party loyalists and residents alike are expressing optimism that sustained leadership and cohesive representation will further drive development in Ebonyi North East and the state at large.
